I am fortunate to live with a large amount of space around me.  In that space I am able to gaze far and wide and breathe.  The space yields itself to incredible light and inspiration.  

The crunch of the leaves underfoot, the gentle nicker of the horse, and the color all speak.  Each piece I paint offers the same sense of beauty and quiet.  A breath in the busy lives we all lead, and a small way to keep life, beauty, honor and truth.  

Using a mixture of traditional watercolor, inks and metallics, each piece is a collaboration between artist, paper and pigment.  At different times in the process, one of these elements controls the direction.  Results can be a combination of dreamy, sharp, glowing or crisp. 

And BTW, this guy's name is Ladkin.  He is the leader of the pack, whose other names are Mischa, Buck, and Chief.
